The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary ( ) also called Assumption Cathedral is the name given to a religious building affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and is located in the city of Kharkiv, in Kharkiv Oblast in east part of the European country of Ukraine.Hauser Zbigniew, "Ilustrowany przewodnik po zabytkach kultury na Ukrainie", t.4, The temple was built in neo-Gothic style between 1887 and 1892 on Gogol Street.
