The Little Red School House, or the District No. 7 Schoolhouse, is a one-room schoolhouse on New Hampshire Route 10, south of downtown Newport, New Hampshire. Built in 1835, it is one of the state's few surviving pre-1850 district schoolhouses, and one of the least-altered of that group. It served the city as a school until 1891, and was acquired in 1951 by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It is open as a museum during the summer months. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Read more on Wikipedia
