The Magnolia Hotel was built in 1847 to serve as a lodging establishment. It is thought to be the oldest surviving hotel on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973,National Register of Historic Places, Harrison County, Mississippi Retrieved 2013-08-11 and was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1985.
